College
- Whether you’re a student or a parent, this college planning timeline will keep you on track and in the know throughout high school.
- Once you have applied to colleges, you will need to send a copy of your transcript.
- While in high school, students can earn college credits through Advanced Placement and Concurrent Enrollment courses. Our course description book has a complete list of all of the courses available for our students.
- There are many scholarship resources to help make college more affordable.
- If you are planning on playing athletics in college, make sure you understand the NCAA and NAIA requirements.
- Retaking the SAT or taking the ACT might help meet scholarship or college admission requirements.
Career
- Severance High School uses Xello — a comprehensive website that students can use to make plans about colleges, and careers.
- Xello has a career interest inventory to help start a career search and up to date information on almost every career. It is a great place to start researching regardless of where you are at in the process!
Military
- Severance High School has military recruiters that visit our school on a weekly basis. Visit our Military page for more information as well as links to the specific branches.
AIMS Career Academy
The AIMS Career Academy provides the opportunity to take college courses while still in high school.
- You are able to to earn certificates in the participating CTE programs, free of charge
- 1 year minimum commitment
- The cost of tuition, fees and course materials is paid by our school district
