Testing Season is Here

PSAT and SAT tests are the year-end state common measurement to see how well students met expectations in English language arts and mathematics. Colorado students in the 9th and 10th grades take PSAT tests. These are precursors to the SAT test that is taken by 11th-graders. Additionally, students can get connections to scholarship providers, access to online college and career planning materials, and feedback about challenging coursework. The 11th grade students will also participate in the Science CMAS assessment.

The dates for these assessments are as follows:

  • SAT - April 12, 2023 8:40 AM - 1:15 PM

  • PSAT 9th & 10th - April 13, 2023 8:40 AM - 12:45 PM

  • CMAS 11th grade - April 20, 2023 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM

  • After lunch students will have extended learning opportunities. All students must be with an adult or excused by a parent/guardian. A detailed bell schedule will be released after Spring Break.

REMINDERS:

  • Please avoid scheduling appointments during this time.
  • All students will need to bring their own calculator.
  • 10th and 11th graders must complete this CONSENT FORM to answer college related questions. This form will be sent home on March 20th.
  • Students are not allowed to have cell phones, smart watches, wireless earbuds, or headphones.  We encourage them to leave these items at home or turn them in during the check-in process.  All backpacks will be stored outside the testing rooms.

These tests are very important and we ask for your help in encouraging your child to do his/her very best. These tests are also a good measure for parents to know how well their child is performing compared to the district and state’s expectations. They show how each student’s results compare to other students around the district and state.
