Scholarships

*P.E.O. (Philanthropic Educational Organization) is a group of women who seek to provide educational opportunities to women. SHS Ladies, consider applying for either or both of these scholarships if you meet the eligibility criteria. 
1. Colorado State Chapter Scholarship Fund ($1,000-$5,000 non-renewable scholarship.) See the attached application for eligibility and selection criteria. Note that the deadline to submit your application and all materials is Jan. 31, 2022. 

2. P.E.O. Star Scholarship: ($2,500 non-renewable scholarship) See this website for more information and eligibility criteria: https://www.peointernational.org/star-eligibility-requirements. *Please sign up to meet with Mrs. Houtchens by Oct. 1st for more info if you'd like to go through the process of being interviewed and potentially recommended by a Windsor P.E.O. Chapter to receive access to an online application for the scholarship.

AES Engineering

For high school seniors. Scholarship will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by essay submission. Scholarship is intended for future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields. You are NOT required to be taking engineering courses to be eligible. Students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question: When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful?

Wendy’s High School Heisman

Eligibility for application is limited exclusively to men and women entering their senior year of high school, who have at least a "B" grade average and participate in at least one of the 27 sports officially sanctioned by the National Federation of State High Schools.  Students are judged based on their academic achievements, community service involvement, and athletic accomplishments.

Coca Cola Scholarship

Current high school (or home-schooled) student attending a school in the U.S. (or select DoD schools) who will graduate during the 2021-2022 academic school year. Expecting to receive high school diploma during current academic year

Planning to pursue a degree at an accredited U.S. post-secondary institution. Able to verify a minimum overall B/3.0 GPA in high school coursework. See website for full eligibility requirements

Boettcher Foundation

The Boettcher Scholarship includes full tuition, fees, living stipend, and book allowance for students attending four year Colorado Undergraduate institutions.

Applicants must be a citizen, legal permanent resident, or lawfully present (including through Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) in the United States OR Meet the requirements and have applied or started the process of applying for citizenship, legal status or lawful presence. (Although students can be in the application process for citizenship, legal status or lawful presence during the Boettcher selection timeframe, in order to become a Boettcher Scholar, you must provide documentation that shows you have successfully completed the process.)   

Eligibility: To be considered, a student must meet these minimum requirements: Superior Scholastic Ability, Evidence of Leadership & Involvement, Service to Community and School, and Outstanding Character.

Greenhouse Scholars

To be considered eligible for our program, you must be a graduating high school senior planning to attend a four-year accredited academic institution. We look for high-performing, under-resourced students who have already demonstrated true leadership and positive community contributions.


To be eligible, applicant must:

Daniels Fund Scholarship

To be eligible for the Daniels Scholarship Program, students must meet the following requirements at the time of application:

Be a high school senior graduating from a school in Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming

Be a resident of Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, or Wyoming. Be a citizen or permanent resident of the United States. Earn a minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0 in high school (on an unweighted 4.0 scale). Earn a minimum SAT Math score of 490 and a minimum Evidence-Based Reading & Writing score of 490, or a minimum ACT score of 18 in each category (writing score not required). Super scoring is not accepted. Meet financial eligibility requirements as described below.


In order to be eligible for the Daniels Scholarship Program, the applicant's parent(s) or legal guardian(s) must have an Adjusted Gross Income (AGI) of $85,000 or less on the 2020 tax return on which the applicant is claimed as a dependent.

Elks Lodge MVS

Any high school senior who is a citizen of the United States is eligible to apply. 

Applicants need not be related to a member of the Elks. 

College students are not eligible to apply. 

Applicants must be citizens of the United States on the date their applications are signed; permanent legal resident status does not qualify. 

Male and female students compete separately. 

Applicants will be judged on scholarship, leadership, and financial need.
